ARTICLE IV OFFICERS
Section 1. The Officer positions of The Club are President, Executive Administrator, Secretary, Treasurer, Tournament Director, Sponsorship Chair and Social Chair.
Section 2. All Officers shall serve as Executive Board members.
Section 3. Nominations of Officers shall be held prior to December regular monthly meeting.
Section 4. Election of officers to begin their term at the beginning of Spring Semester will be held at the December regular monthly meeting. Any member that is unable to attend the December meeting may place his/her proxy with the Secretary at any time prior to that meeting.
Section 5. In the event an office becomes vacant, nominations and the election to fill that office will be held at the next monthly meeting after the vacancy exists.
Section 6. The term of office shall be for one year. The term will begin at the start of Spring Semester and end at the start of the following year’s Spring Semester, carrying through the summer.
Section 7. Creation of positions not listed above can be done at the time of Officer Nominations prior to the December regular monthly meeting.
Section 8 All officers will have the responsibilities and duties listed in Article IV in addition to the creation of an educational presentation highlighting a specific bait or technique to be presented to all members at a general meeting
ARTICLE V DUTIES OF OFFICERS
Section 1. President
A. To insure the purpose and rules of The Club are upheld.
B. To chair all club meetings and activities.
C. To call and chair all Executive Board meetings.
D. To form committees for special events, socials, or any situation that is not covered by this document.
E. Create, maintain and organize all club files and documents
F. Track and maintain club boat history, schedule and approve any required boat maintenance
Section 2. Executive Administrator
A. To insure the purpose and rules of The Club are upheld.
B. Assume the duties of the President in his/her absence.
C. Assist the Tournament Director at all tournament weigh-ins.
D. Assume the duties of the Tournament Director in his/her absence.
E. Take an active role in learning the President’s duties and assist the president with said roles.
F. Act as Webmaster as defined in Section 8
Section 3. Secretary
A. To insure the purpose and rules of The Club are upheld.
B. To maintain attendance records at all club events and record club points.
C. To maintain and distribute a current point standing list at each monthly meeting accompanied with any new club news.
D. To create and distribute a bi-semesterly and summerly club newsletter to be distributed to sponsors and club supporters.
E. Accept and record election proxies from members that cannot attend the December Meeting.
Section 4. Treasurer
A. To insure the purpose and rules of The Club are upheld.
B. To collect all dues and inform The Club of all members in good and active standing.
C. To secure all trophies and awards.
D. To keep accurate records of club funds and report club account balances at every monthly meeting.
E. Manage all club bank and financial accounts
F. Track club income and expenses and apply for expense reimbursement (SORF)
Section 5. Tournament Director
A. To insure the purpose and rules of The Club are upheld.
B. Head the tournament committee, which is responsible for the organization and planning of all club tournaments
C. Ensure that all tournament rules are followed and enforced, this includes paper tournaments
D. Approve all paper tournament dates and times, track results and forward them to the Secretary for points records
E. Track and report all available tournaments for members to participate in and report them at each General Club Meeting
F. Track and report all tournament requests and work with Executive Board to determine tournament eligibility and rosters within Article VII
G. To direct all tournament activities including:
1.) The accurate measuring and weighing of all fish
2.) The care and health of all fish
3.) Insure the scales and other club tournament assets are properly maintained and protected.
4.) Insure the tournament rules in ARTICLE VII of this document are followed.
Section 6. Sponsor Chair
A. To insure the purpose and rules of The Club are upheld.
B. To actively maintain relationships with current sponsors and pursue relationships with new sponsors
C. To ensure that sponsors are kept updated on club activities
D. To ensure that the club promotes sponsors as much as possible
E. To request and pursue donations and discounts from club sponsors
F. Maintain a list of all discounts, rules and eligibility requirements for each sponsor
Section 7. Webmaster
A. To insure the purpose and rules of The Club are upheld.
B. To maintain the club website, Facebook page and message board
C. Add pictures, video and club news to all club Internet pages
D. Keep all Internet pages updated with club news and announcements
Section 8. Social Chair
A. To insure the purpose and rules of The Club are upheld.
B. To plan and organize at least 2 social event per semester, with the goal of encouraging club socialization outside of fishing outings and tournaments
C. Ensure that all University of Illinois Registered Student Organization rules are followed at any club sponsored events
D. Promote club functions and activities to the surrounding community
E. Responsible for outreach to other area fishing club and organizations

A. All committee members must be in good standing.
B. Committees may be formed at any regular meeting for any specific activity or issue such as fund raising, social activities, sponsorship, rules, or any situation not covered in this document.
C. All committees report to the President.
D. All committees are automatically dissolved upon completion of the activity or situation.
