Hey everyone, as many of you know we have our 2nd annual High School Fishing Open coming up on April 7th at Clinton Lake. We had a terrific time running this tournament last year, it was probably the biggest success of the year. We had just over 50 boats compete last year, so naturally we have upped the ante and we hope to have around 75 boats. But it isn't going to happen overnight without any work from us. We need your help!! Here is the link to our website where you can download our tournament flyer and the rules and registration packet. www.fightingillinibassclub.com/high-school-open.htmlIf anyone knows any high school anglers or coaches who might be interested please help pass the word along. There does not need to be a high school bass fishing team at a student's school for them to be able to compete, as long as they are in high school they are eligible. As of now we only have 25 boats, we are 50 away from our goal and believe it or not April will be here before we know it. Below is a contact list of the schools that have already registered or been contacted. Please post up here with the schools you have sent an email to or contacted through other means, so we are not "double-dipping" any schools. Thanks for your help! Schools that have been contacted:Champaign Central Cary-Grove Maroa-Forsyth Glenwood Plainfield Central St. Charles North Deland-Weldon Illini Bluffs Glenbrook South Naperville Central

Already talked to Keith Kropp about Unity. They have a larger team this year and are trying to get more boaters approved so they can bring more teams. Keith told me they will have at least 5 and will most likely register this week.

I haven't heard of any schools registering lately. We should really step up sending out emails before spring break starts since a lot of us will be off fishing. A few schools I contacted are awaiting approval and some have boater problems.

I am going to send out a bunch of emails from the list Brock posted this afternoon. I'll post the schools, probably going to send out around ten or so. If anyone else has anytime today go ahead and pick some emails off the list Brock posted. Just make sure that they have not already been contacted.

If someone wants to email schools from the Lake of Egypt sectionals that would be awesome, if not, i'll do it later when I have some more time. Just let us know if you are sending out emails so we don't annoy anyone.
