Tried several of the lakes/ponds this morning with only one hit. Seems like it would be a great area, does anyone fish there much?

I fished it once during the summer in a few of the ponds. It looks so good but I only had a couple hits on a topwater early in the morning and no keepers. I think I heard Steve talking about catching like 60 in a day though... you'll have to ask him.

In the spring Rob and I caught so many we got bored and started to just explore the surrounding area. We caught probably 60 fish with only 1 of "good" size at about 16 inches. Finesse worsm and senkos were the ticket

I fish there a lot during the spring and summer. I'm from about 30 miles north so Kickapoo, Lake Vermilion and Kenekuck are my home areas. I've caught several fish and several good fish. I caught a 5 pounder on a horny toad on clear pond. I've caught numerous 3 and 4 pounders in the spring time on Long Pond. It is common to have a couple 7 pounders pulled out of Long each spring. The key to fishing long is down on the south side of the pond.
