Caught a 20 lb or so bighead carp today fishing below the spillway at Clinton. Took 15 min to land it on 8lb line....It was foul-hooked fishing with a twistertail....though you can't see how wide/tall it is in this pic, a 16 inch walleye is in the picture for scale...the carp was 36 inches! I cut him up for food or catfish bait....they are supposed to taste really good but there are so many Y-bones....

Yeah the bighead is a type of Asian Carp. They sell them in China town and I've actually had some before. Its pretty good actually, i know they are really bloody too when u cut them up. I dont remember how it was cooked....I didn't know that the asian carps were in clinton....you may want to report that catch to somebody. Unless that spillway is connected to the illinois river. NIce walleye too dinty

Or try: 217-784-4730

Bighead Carp, Musky...whats the difference?
Oh yeah, bighead carp dont eat bass! So long as it wasnt a d**n musky, I wouldnt worry about reporting it.
(That should get at least one of you going, if not, I'm disappointed)
