The first meeting will be Monday, August 29th at 7:00pm. We will be meeting in Room 160 of the English Building. The next meeting will be the next day, Tuesday, August 30th, again at 7pm and in Room 160 of the English Building. If you cannot make either of these two meetings and would still like information regarding our club, please send me an email and I will be able to answer any questions that you have. I really hope that you all will take the time to come out and learn more about our club and all that we do. To make your decision a little easier, we will be serving pizza and pop for all of those in attendance. In addition, we will be raffling off lures, club shirts and other fishing gear for all of those that attend; something that we do at all of our General Meetings.
At the meetings, we will cover anything and everything you could ever want to know about our club and becoming a member. We are going to do our best this year to appeal to everyone who is interested in fishing, no matter the skill level. To do this we are going to be giving seminars at every General Meeting on different fishing techniques and skills so that our members can learn about fishing and improve themselves. This will begin next week with a presentation on basic fishing terms, equipment and techniques. If you have any interest in starting fishing or even improving your skills, please come out to our meeting to see what we're all about and maybe even learn a thing or two.
For those of you that are sure that you would like to join, you will have the opportunity to register and pay your dues at either meeting. Dues are $30 and their uses will be discussed at the meeting. For those of you that aren't sure yet, you are not expected to join or pay dues in any way. Just come on out, learn about our club and fishing and enjoy some free pizza on us.
If anyone has any questions, please do not hesitate to send me an email. Below are links to our website, message board and Facebook page. Some of them are slightly outdated but we are working on that and they are all great ways to keep in contact with our club!
Hope to see everyone next week!
