I got the information in the mail today for the cabin rates and sizes for Mill Creek today so I want to try to get this finalized and reserve the cabins before someone snatches them. For anybody who is out of the loop here, this is for the tournament that we are hosting as a part of the Midwest Collegiate Fishing circuit that we are co-founding and participating in this summer, and this is set for the weekend of June 10th. We have a couple of options here.
We are definitely taking the cabin that is right at the boat launch and we are using this as our tournament headquarters. This cabin has 1 queen bed, 1 sleeper sofa and 1 cot, so it sleeps 5 in beds and anyone else who is willing to sleep on the floor. The cabin also has a bathroom, full kitchen, a grill and a/c. The rate is $80/night.
We have two other options on the mill creek property:
There is another cabin that is located on the campsites but is pretty close to the ramp that is smaller and does not have a full bathroom but has access to all the campsite facilities. This cabin has 1 queen bed and 1 bunk bed set, so it will sleep 4 in beds and whoever wants to sleep on the floor. The price for this is $50 a night.
Also if we get two cabins we get 20% off the total price.
Or we get the launch cabin and a campsite. We get the campsites for $12, has room for 2 tents, and a couple trucks/boats. We get the campsites for $12.
Our third option which I'm just throwing out there for the fun of it would be staying at the hotel that Matt has working with us for this tournament. It is about 25 minutes away from the launch.
I'm figuring prices based on the launch cabin for 2 days and the other option for 1. I'm assuming that whoever s fishing will take advantage of both prefishing days of minimally come down friday night.
I'm putting my vote in for the first one, this way everyone gets to sleep indoors for about $12 more bucks and if the weather gets crappy everyones good.
