The Illini Bass Fishing Club will be hosting its March General Meeting on Wednesday, March 7th at 7:00pm in Room 29 of the English Building.
We may be approaching the end of the school year but the fishing season is just beginning!
We have tons of things to go over, from our high school tournament to the newly organized Midwest Collegiate Fishing Series. We are going to get pretty deep into our organization of our high school tournament that is coming up quickly. We will also help Kyle Ekstrom and Conrad Keefe prepare for their rescheduled tournament on Table Rock Lake this Sunday. In addition, we will talk more about the tournament that we are hosting out at Mill Creek in June.
IMPORTANT: We will be going through registration for the rest of the tournaments for the year at this meeting. If you have any interest in fishing tournaments with the club this spring, summer or fall, please take a look at the tournament schedule on our website and come to the meeting for more information on the available tournaments. We are going to do our best to get as many of our members out on the water this year but we need to know who is able to and wants to fish before we can make these decisions. If you have any questions, please contact Luke Stoner or myself.
In addition, we have multiple club orders going into various companies and sponsors for fishing gear so if you would like to be a part of those, please come to the meeting as well.
Unfortunately, due to conflicts, Zach Zuckerman will be unable to attend our meeting and give his presentation on spawning bass. We are working to reschedule him for next month's meeting. In the meantime, we have a student who is interested on doing a short documentary on the club and will hopefully be attending the meeting. If this is something you'd like to be a part of, I strongly encourage you to try and make the meeting!
We will also be covering other general club information but I think I hit all the big points. Hope to see you all on Wednesday!
