so to all those who told me Sangchris was over populated with bass anglers i have a story to tell you. So you all know that my girlfriend was interested in fishing and went with me every chance we got. well the sad part was that since she was such an amateur, she could not cast but more than 20-30 ft. and when you fish 15-17ft deep that can be a problem with a soft plastic or deep diving crankbait like i am known for in the club. well last saturday we went out there and didn't do anything from 9-1. then i pulled up on a spot i like to call ol' faithful and sure enough it was. from about 1 until 530 we had a school of very very hungry bass. they were holding to a breakline (for those who are unfamilliar with what i am talking about look up Buck Perry) at about 12 ft deep. well because i wanted to maintain constant time in the strike zone and the fish were holding near the bottom i tied up some of my new hot lips cranks. yes the 3/4 oz model that can cast a country mile and dives to 20 ft. now you may think i am an idiot for doing that but no kidding we had between 85 and 90 fish. Amy wanted to take a picture of every fish we caught and her batteries went from hero to zero at about 37 fish. these fish were not huge but most were about 14-16 inches and they were fighters. i was just so happy because amy is now hooked for sure on fishing. she had to give up at about 445 because she literally did not have the energy to catch another bass. it got to the point where guys were trying to move in on my spot because "i had caught my fair share". all i can say is thank God for anchors and DNR watching us the whole time keeping the boaters at their legal distance from ours. there was also a man in a canoe who placed a bet with a man in another boat if i could do it for another cast. needless to say i caught another and about 20 more. it was one of those days where every cast to every other cast was one with a fish. it was an amazing day and i hope all is going well for the rest of you as far as everything goes but mainly the fishing. sorry i dont know how to use netfiles but here are a few pictures for you. and yes rob that swim bait is a 6" model and the bass was about 4.5 lbs. so all you who doubt the swim bait better start tying them up and hold on to your rods......hard.
