By the way, are we going to have an exec meeting to discuss club events (cookout whatever) and if/when/ how we doing it.... or is that left to the social chairs??? Or the first meeting? Just want to know when we want to get the ball rolling on that.

Barcrawl is out... At least, this isn't the place to discuss it. I still think we should have the BBQ. Just got back from fishing with Steve and we were thinking it would be nice to have it at a place with a decent sized pavilion and a lake nearby for a BBQ/fishing outing. Here's what we were thinking: Crystal Lake - nice pavilion areas, but kind of a trashy lake. Lake of the Woods - great pavilion area, good fishing where everyone can see each other and not too big that you can't talk with one another. However, downside is there might be more fishermen to deal with. This is still my vote. I'd even be willing to bring my boat out and shuttle people around, maybe we could bring the Ranger or Ouachita. Homer - never been. Maybe Steve will chime in. Kickapoo - good fishing, very pretty area, sounds like there is a good sized pavilion, but a little far. Thoughts?

U really covered the lakes well. I vote LOTW or Kickapoo. I dont like Homer but it does have a nice area to kind of sit i guess. LOTW is probably the most user friendly place for this type of event. I was wondering if we can contact the park district or something and try to reserve a space. I know back home you can do that at some places by my house.

Try Rob, or Steve. For now, I think all they gotta do is show up to the first meeting.

I just contacted someone regarding reserving the pavilion at Lake of the Woods. Looks like we might have to pay a fee, not sure how big, but I'll find out.

I think it is worth it at LOTW. It is the best option.
