I need to make an order on a Shimano Citica 201E and a Abu vendetta 7" fast action so who ever might be making an order soon let me know. I also need some advice on a basic spinning reel for under $50 if anyone has any advice that'd be great. Thanks

I have a Pflueger Trion GX-7 you can have for $30 if you want. It's basically brand new, and has 30 lb test power pro braid line with monofilament backing.
Also, if you're interested in a Citica 201D, I might have one laying around somewhere. The D series have a drilled aluminum spool instead of the plastic ones in the new E series. They're all metal so slightly heavier at 9.9 oz, but are sturdier. They're also 4SS+1RB instead of the new E series which are 3SS bearings + 1 roller bearing.
If you are interested in the Citica 201D, find out how much TW wants for a new 201E with your club discount, and I'll knock off $10-$20 that for my asking price.

Devon, I will be putting in another order soon. And if you want some advice you'll get plenty of it from us, as well as opinions.
Now, what will you be primarily throwing on your baitcasting combo? Spinning combo?

Devon, stick with the new Citica. I'm pretty sure you're new to baitcasters, so you don't want the big bulky 201D to set you back. I have one and I only use it for flipping. I've tried the new one and its really good. Also you can probably get that rod cheaper off of abu garcia with our discount.

Thanks yall for the advice, as for the flueger spinning real id have to see it, literally anything is better than the lack of one i have right now. As for the 201D i honestly have d**n near zero experience with a bait caster so i am just looking for a good one to learn on and then get good haha. The (7') rod... i will just need to check to see what the price range between Abu and TW is to make the decision.

Daiwa spinning reels are the best, get an exceler.

Hell, if you're a beginner at baitcasting, I have a spare Bass Pro shops baitcasting reel you can have for free.
Either that or get the Daiwa Procaster for like $25. All metal body with 6+1 BB and Magnetic Brakes, which really helps newbies with managing backlashes.
I would also look into the new Damiki entry level 2 piece casting rods. Supposedly they're pretty nice as well.

Alright, for froggin/flippin & pitchin you are going to want A heavy or med-hvy rod with a fast tip. Powell has a decent rod for $120.00.
As for that Citica, for what you are going to pay for that it's not worth it. I mean come on a plastic spool? For the price you are going to get that Citica you can get a 2009 model Left handed Revo STX or a Daiwa Viento.
Now Spinning reels, it's all on preference. I mean, I really like Daiwa spinning reels. Others will say Shimano, Abu-Garcia, etc. For the money you can't go wrong with a Sedona, but I think an Exceler is a much more refined reel.
Spinning rods will depend on what you will use it for. (Drop shotting, jigs, etc.)

These guys really don't know what they are talking about. Besides Carlos mentioning the shimano sedona. The Falcon shaky head spinning rod is the best. And PURCHASE the abu rod with our discount. You'll want a MH which can cover almost any application. I would offer you a shimano rod I have that I've used for multiple application, but if you want the abu you can get the best deal on the abu website and they'll be in stock. MH is what you want too.
