hahaha NOT a whitefish! From the limited research I have done on this species, I am to unterstand that this fish is probably just an average size...some sources say they reach up to 55 pounds!

Hmmmm, it's a cold water species that's for sure. I almost said cisco before but I didn't think they grew that big. The only other cisco like fish that grows relatively large is the inconnu.

Eskimo Tarpons ARE Inconnus. An Eskimo Tarpon is another name for it, just like largemouths are sometimes called bucketmouths.
