Hey guys,
Just wanted to get a rough idea of who can make it out to the grudge match with ISU October 28th. That is the Sunday of Halloween weekend. I would like those who are interested to comment with their availability, and if they will be a boater or a co-angler. This is more of a fun tournament and will be perfect to get some new members out on the water. If you have access to a boat please let us know so we can get as many U of I anglers on the water as possible. ISU edged us out last year so we need to be ready to get that trophy back!
I will start: 1. Available 2. Co-angler

Keep in mind guys that to be available to fish this tournament you must be signed up as a tournament angler and not just a club member, I am showing a couple of you guys as non tournament anglers.

Hopefully we can get some boaters to sign up! I will try to secure a boat as I see there is going to be an influx of co-anglers. I encourage everyone else to do so as well, if you have someone that could be a potential boater for this tournament give them a call.

I will be taking a few hours next week to check the Ouachita out and get it ready to hit the water. I will also offer up my truck next Sunday for anyone who wants to take the Ouachita to the tournament. Whoever decides to take it does need to be an active member of the club and fairly familiar with boats. They will also need to meet with me before the tournament out at the boat so they can familiarize themselves with it. Anyone interested needs to contact me directly.

Alright here's what we've got so far...
Boaters 1. Justin Kaszuba 2. Cody Sullivan 3. Joey DiSomma 4. Brock Phillips 5. Devon Loftus? (Anyone know if he's going?) 6. OUACHITA
Non-boaters 1. Mark Lewan 2. Brian Kemp 3. Luke Stoner 4. Jake Jagust 5. Patrick Hulsebosch 6. Nick Hehmann 7. Ryan Schmid 8. Yu Han 9. Kevin Wang
So that's where we stand, clearly we're short some boats so if anyone wants to take the Ouachita, it is still available.

Are we deciding who gets to go based on points? Or how does that work?
When will we find out if we are able to go or not?

Unfortunately I've realized I have way to much studying to do Sunday and won't be able to go anymore. Paper due and exam on Monday will be taking up my Sunday. Sorry

Decision will be made off of experience, participation and club points. We generally try to get some newer members into this tournament to give them the experience. The decision will hopefully be made tonight at the Executive Board meeting.
I have updated my post with names and pulled Danny off.

Just received an email back from the ISU guys. The specifics for the tournament this Sunday will be: 1. ~7:15 a.m. launch (safe light) 2. 5 fish limit/ 16" minimum/ largemouth & smallmouth 3. Weigh in at 3:30 p.m. 4. Weight from top 3 boats from each school will decide winner. You should get in contact with your boater before this Sunday. We as a team should be there no later than 6:30 in the morning. So plan on leaving or getting a ride between 5:30 and 5:45. Any questions give me a call (309) 202-2018. Other than that, lets get pumped up and bring that trophy back home!! www.youtube.com/watch?v=9O8vlrAH7TE
