Hey guys. Just wanted to get our clubs tournament schedule out there so that everyone can take a look at it and start to plan their spring. Tournaments will be here before we know it so lets try and get this figured out ASAP. In next weeks general meeting we will be handing out sheets to everyone that you will fill out with the tournaments that you want to fish in and are available to fish in this spring. So take a look at this list and your spring schedule and try to get an idea of what tournaments you are REALISTICALLY available for and the tournaments that you want to fish. It would help out the Exec board a ton if you even post up on this thread your name and the tournaments that you are interested in. Lets get this figured out and move forward to having a great season! Thanks guys.

I couldn't make it to the meeting, but I should be free to go to any of the tournaments before summer. Also, my friend informed me I could borrow his boat for tournaments, so I should be able to bring a boat if we needed one.

Hey Dane,
what are the specs of the boat you would be able to use make, motor size, length, tiller or center counsel? Some of the tournaments have limits on what can be used, the most significant being whether or not the boat is equipped with a steering wheel.

I will have to ask my friend, its nothing special, he was on the SIU fishing team and used it for some of their tournaments. I don't know the make, but what I know for sure is its about a 16-18ft fiberglass boat, with a 50 hp motor (i think johnson), and center console. It's pretty old but has a couple of fish finders (nothing fancy, would probably just call them depth gauges), good trolling motor, and reliable. I am also looking to purchase my own boat, so, depending on the timing I may have my own. If any one knows of anyone selling a boat in the $5000 dollar range please let me know! I can probably go a bit higher, but I will already have my student loans to answer to here soon.

rotted out seats, faded gel coat, few scratches, in need of new carpet, maybe a cracked gauge or two?

Haha, I was hoping my money would go a little bit further than that. I'm just looking for something for the next year or two to get me by until I get settled into a real job and what not, not enough time to redo anything. I've been keeping an eye on craiglist and have looked online a bit, but wanted to get the word out in case anyone happened to know someone from their hometown or something trying to get rid of a boat.

Anyone who is interested in fishing the Big Bass Bass over Spring break April 21-23... we need more boaters!!
So if you have access or can gain access (from family or friends) to a boat you would be comfortable with running, please do so! We have a lot of eager co-anglers who would love to fish, (and split gas, food, etc.) we just need some more boats. Let us know on this board or at my email stoner2@illinois.edu if you have access to a boat and would like to fish.

alright so how does this big bass bash unit work... i want to fish it but zach is saying that it is a three person per boat type of thing? i mean i have a boat but luke and I both know it is a bit small for such a big lake especially with three people trying to cast out of it.

You can fish the big bass bash solo I am pretty sure. Instead of a two angler limit per boat you can have three. If your boat is tight I would suggest going with two people on it then.

we can bring as many boats as we want as long as all the boats going have a steering wheel and a counsel.
