What are the best techniques for spring smallies and largemouth in clintion lake. Also, does anyone know any bait shops around the area.

For Clinton - Cranks on points, suspending over laydowns. the usual
Bait shop - The best is one is in decatur - mikes, i think.

In the spring at Clinton. I like to focus on water temperature, which is more of a factor on cooling lakes. Last year, in the spring, Vandy and I scanned for water that was mid 50's and with bait present, and we started fishing jerkbaits...compared to everyone else, we had a great day. I also like to focus on riprapped bridges year-round since some bass will always use 'em....these are community holes though.
