I just thought you all might be interested to know who qualified for CSB from our club down here at SIU. We held our qualifying tournaments both this weekend. On Saturday we fished Crab Orchard lake as a severe cold front moved in. It was real windy and pretty darn cold in comparison to the 80 degrees from the day before. The bite really slowed down, but we were able to catch a few fish anyway. I won the CSB qualifying part with 2 fish for 8.16lbs. Ben Deblois finished 2nd with 2 fish for 6lbs and change. Scott Kehlenbrink finished 3rd with 1 fish for 3.1lbs.
On Sunday we fished Lake of Egypt. Again the weather threw us a change up with high bluebird skies and bright sun with very little wind. As a result the bite changed once again, but everyone weighed at least a fish, showing what a tremendous fishery Egypt really is. Scott Kehlenbrink finished 1st with 4 fish for 8.93lbs. I finished 2nd with 3 fish for 5lbs and change. Ben Deblois finished 3rd with 2 fish for 2lbs something Colby Thompson finished 4th with 2 fish for 1.9lbs Phil Wood finished 5th with 1 fish for right around 1lb.
Our two qualifiers were: Me with 199 points and Scott Kehlenbrink with 198 points. We'll see you guys at Smashmouth!

Congrats, y'all. Another chance for the UI/SIU rivalry to come to the forefront of college bass fishing!
