Since this is the earliest freeze we've gotten in a few years, Matt W. and I and another buddy James from home went ice fishin at a private pond in Long Grove, IL. Between the three of us we caught over 200 fish! We got bluegill, crappie, and bass. It was one after another..... after another.....
We used Custom Jigs and Spins Diamond jigs and ratfinkes, in gold, copper, orange, green and yella. We either put a spike on the end or used Gulp spikes (both red and white):
If anyone's in the area, call us up! We'll go again as long as the ice holds out....
Let me know how if the ice settles and when you all might go again. I've got a pole and some little i don't even know what they are. I've been going to trying to go for two yrs now, but the ice down here hasn't been that solid. I'm game for trying some ice fishing out finally.
im up for some ice fishing, I gots a 7inch strikemaster mora that needs new blades so as siin as i get that taken care of i should be able to join ya'll. I also have one rod and a a couple tip-ups for pike fishin.
let me know when you guys head up

I saw the white bass pictures on JP's phone. VERY NAICE! We're going Monday (Christmas Eve) to forest or maybe that one we went to the other day. It's supposed to be cold enough for thick enough ice. Just in case I'll wear some waterwings... but ill call you tomorrow evening
