Hey, from reading all your posts it seems like you guys have had some success at Crystal Lake park?? Everytime I've fished that place, it seems so dead... any suggestions?

Sure Tim, In the summer the fishing there can be really tough. The lake is shallow and many of the bass will continue to relate to shallow cover. Stumps, weeds, and shade are key factors there in determining fish position. As far as baits to cover this depth zone, 4" culprit worms and Yum CrawBugs catch numbers of fish, while classic jig'n'pigs and full size Senkos tend to catch a few larger ones.
There are also some brush and rockpiles offshore there. If you can find these, worh them carefully with crankbaits and slow-rolled spinnerbaits and you should catch some fish.
Creature baits are also really good in both these situations. Guys in our club tend to favor the Baby brush hog and Super Hog by Zoom, but other kinds will certainly work as well. Good luck. -Dinty

I'll be sure to give it a try maybe within the next week or two. Thanks for the help.
