See everyone at Giovanti's (on the corner of 4th and Green) at 7 pm so we can talk about some club issues and enjoy the delicious comida (can someone say Chicken!)...
Hope to see everyone there!

Second Mui. It's a choice, and nice for those who have the money and are hungry. Don't want to eat? Don't buy food!
Pretty simple. I don't understand why you want to change the meeting place.

My idea for the change had nothing to do with money. It mostly had to do with, that occasionaly it would be nice to have internet access, which is available at a library or the Union, and that a more centrally located place would be nice, which has nothing to do with me having to walk far, I live two blocks from Geovanti's. Also it was so that new members might not have any trouble finding it, and/or feeling intimidated by coming to a place they might not know, everyone knows the Union.

also i vote to change to a place where everyone can park for free. the bus stops running from here at 630 so i am forced to drive

Eh whatever, I just don't want it at a library or the union mostly because both are kind of quiet places and we can get kind of rowdy. I really dont think Giovanti's is intmidating enough for new members not to come (we had 4 tables last week)

Which brings up another problem with Geovanti's, sure we had four tables, but could someone at one end, see someone at the other end? Not a chance, that isn't productive, I think as the club grows and has more important things to discuss and get done, Geovanti's just becomes too unproductive, we wait for food, we can be loud, so we are, we get stuff done, but not in a timely manner. Not nearly in a timely, the exec board meetings need to be a time to get things done, done well, and done quickly, I'm not saying that I don't contribute to the unproductiveness, we're all to blame. I just feel that a different setting would serve our purpose better. At Grainger we can get a room that can hold at least 12 people, I do it for homework on a weekly basis. They have a nice large table, and a white board and internet access, if you want to go eat afterwards fine, go and I'll probably go as well, because I certainly enjoy that part, but if we are going to call it and exec board meeting, it needs to be a meeting, not a free for all.

after some thought i would like to change the meeting place for reason of productiveness. we all come to the meetings mondays to have fun too but we are so unproductive. we are all to blame for this. i would like to suggest that if members want to keep meeting at geovanti's to eat, meet at 630 and have food by the time the rest of us who arent eating would arrive. this would save time since rob is hesitant to start the meeting until everyone has food. i know there are many people who have limited time and this seems logical to me. it wastes almost a half hour by the time everyone gets food and settles down enough to talk about the items we need to discuss. then if after the meeting people want to converse about other topics or randomness that's fine, but i know some of us are getting busy with school work and would like to free up more time with fewer distractions at the exec meetings to speed things up. i vote to either meet ahead of time to eat if you want, keep the meeting time at 7, or change the location to a place where it is open to all and where we can all see each other. last week was crazy with 4 tables at the exec meeting. yes i'm pleased to see the great turn out but i felt like a lot of the new members were left out of our conversations since they were at the other end of the table. yes we are loud and yes we are rowdy but i couldn't hear one word tim said at the other end of the table the entire meeting.

Ya, i didn't second the motion based on money or food. However, I am often discouraged from attending meetings sometimes when i know i have a busier week, because i know that tho the meetings are very fun they are usually very inefficient. I vote to change location so to accomadate a larger crowd, because even when there are a handful of guys its easy to be alienated at those small tables. What about the UNION BASEMENT?? There is food and larger tables....most restraunts stay open till 7 or later... Plus too like Ryan said if you plan to eat, get there at 630 so the meeting can get rolling at 7 for those who choose not to eat.
There is more parking by the union, it is more centrally located for everyone, and the buses definitely run by it!!

But more importantly for any freshmen without cars, the 22 and 26 both have stops at Grainger.
